The Media Resource Center for the Upper New York Conference supports the local church by helping them to Live the gospel of Jesus Christ and be God’s love with our neighbors in all places. The vital ministry provided by the Media Resource Center is to inform, educate, inspire, nurture, enable, and empower children, youth, and adults. The resources available allow them to grow in their relationship with God through Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, youth group, small group studies, and church wide initiatives. By making studies available on mission, ministry, and social justice issues we are engaging, equipping, and empowering local churches to be in ministry with and to our Global Neighborhood. Studies are also offered on the Bible, faith and belief, family, grief and loss, spiritual growth, world religions, stewardship, leadership, worship, and evangelism. Support materials, including DVDs, are provided for School of Mission Studies. A wide variety of studies are offered to best serve the diverse interests of each local church within the conference. Through these studies we are encouraging and developing leadership within the laity and clergy that is diverse and engaged with the vision of Christ. By educating our local congregations through the use of our resources, we help them along their spiritual journey. As they are inspired, they are also empowered in building relationships with our neighbors, particularly with those who have been disenfranchised by mainstream society. We allow each individual or group to discover their gifts and graces and how they can best use those in making disciples for Jesus.
