Media Resource Center
The Upper New York Annual Conference maintains a Media Resource Center for use by all United Methodist churches in the conference and is supported by apportioned funds. The materials in and services of the center are available at no charge to support the ministries of the churches within the conference.

We are more than just a lending library!
The Media Resource Center is not just a place to sign in and out resources. Although online ordering and mailing resources are important, they are only a small part of what we have to offer. We provide consultations when choosing curriculum and bible studies, ideas for ministry with children, youth and adults and a referral and research source for your questions. We provide a place to come and browse the resources and ask questions. We always welcome groups to the Media Resource Center to sit down and discuss options for their local church. We provide on site workshops for Christian Education, Vacation Bible School, Small Group, and Confirmation to name a few. If you are interested in a workshop just let us know.
Other services we provide are:
- Meeting space for your education team; an opportunity for them to see the Resource Center firsthand
- A space for previewing
- VBS support through networking and sharing of support materials, scenery and props
- Full AV resource support for Schools of Christian Mission Studies and UMW Programs
- Equipment loan
- Researching and evaluating the resources for content, inclusiveness and doctrine
- Hundreds of free-loan resources available for your church ministries
- An up-to-the minute online catalog of resources searchable by title, author, subject and keyword
- Feature articles on new and seasonal resources in the UNY Conference Newspaper and e-news
- Prepared topical and seasonal bibliographies on a multitude of subjects
